My Background
I graduated with a Diploma in Accounting and Finance from Temasek Polytechnic and a Bachelor Degree in Business Management (Majoring in Organizational Behaviour Human Resource) from the Singapore Management University (SMU). In army, my vocation was a medic specialist in the SAF. Armed with relevant medical skills, I had CPR, AED & O2 certifications.
My journey of Fitness came about coincidentally a few years ago when I started to work in SMU gym during my studies. I attained my Basic Exercise Course Certificate and Fitness Instructor Course Certificate. I also participated in a new sport, Floorball. The positive influence by my peers and my motivation to improve my game made me explore more about fitness. Keen to learn, I researched, planned and executed various workout programs on myself and my teammates. The results were apparent. My body became fitter and leaner. It improved my productivity, time management, and self-confidence. My team become stronger. One highlight of my floorball journey was when SMU managed to clinch the Championship in the Floorball Open Division 2 League 2010! Currently, I am playing for Weekend Warriors in the Singapore Floorball League Division 1.
Soon, it became apparent that this is the line I want to pursue in order to contribute back to society. Passionate about teaching & personal development, I love passing on my knowledge to the people around me. I have personally seen and experienced what proper fitness, diet and mental wellness can do to change people’s (including Myself!) lives with a greatly positive impact.
